The old hilltop grocery sign of Gingerhill in Milan - has not seen daylight in over 50 years. Recently uncovered when the current owners removed the siding.  Anyone for a kite to fly at 3 cents or a Pepsi at 6 cents.  How about candy 3 for a penny ?  Remember walking the mud road to the store. Our landlord lived in a boxcar and our grandparents in a circus wagon back then on the hill.

The third annual High School engineering trebuchet contest was held at Bettendorf High School on 4/11/14.  Over 6 high schools and 25 teams participated in catapulting eggs at targets of various ranges from 50-125 ft.
